Houghton's Pond Fishing Report
Houghton's Pond Columbus Day Weekend
Made it out to Houghton's Pond twice this weekend. Went Sunday morning with the wife. Had a nice morning along the waters edge, but didn't catch anything, especially trout, not even a nibble. There were people all over the shore line so spots were a hot commodity. Decided to hit it up again at dawn on Columbus day. It was beautiful on the shore watching otters playing and catching fish. Unfortunately, all I caught was some nice photos of nature and one small lmb dink. I fished a few spots around the pond all to no avail. I think it may be fished out, or I am totally inept at fishing for trout.

The bite has been off the past few days everywhere I've fished. I doubt that Houghtons pond has been "fished out" although I would agree that a large percentage of the hatchery trout have probably been taken.
